Ms. on the Go

Just wanted to add another card I made using the Ms. On the Go set. I just LOVE this stampset! Colors used: chocolate, white & blush. Ribbon is white ribbon from HL. Used popdots to elevate the main image. Distressed edges with chocolate distressing ink. Colored with prismacolor markers.

Hello Cupcake!

I just received two new stampsets from the Spring 09 CTMH catalog - LOVE THEM!!!! Cupcake sprinkles & Ms. On the G0 - they are bo SO fun to use! Now I'm just waiting for my first ever Bellas (which will hopefully arrive today :-), and an order from Hanna Stamps for some Riley Moose stamps - I am sooooo excited!
This weekend we got lots of snow & wind. School was 2 hours late again this morning - Riley was pretty happy about that. Now it's VERY cold - I think around 10-14 below. At least christmas is supposed to warm up to about 20 - heat wave!!!
This first card I made using the new CTMH cupcake sprinkles stampset. Cardstock used: CTMH sweetleaf, crystal blue & vanilla cream. Inks: CTMH sweetleaf, creme brulee, crystal blue. CTMH markers used for sprinkles: olive, hollyhock, crystal blue. Other embellies: brown eyelets, brown ricrac, popdots, distressing.

This card I made using Ms. On the Go. Materials used - cardstock CTMH chocolate & white. Ink: CTMH chocolate. Markers: CTMH sunflower, brown bag, prismacolor pumpkin orange, light blue, henna & eggplant. Copper brads & popdots.

Whoo loves you...

I just had to have this stampset when it came out, and I haven't really done much with it. So, my goal for today was to create 1 card & 1 layout using it. Not sure what I think, but I accomplished my goal :-)
The card was made by using the CTMH stampset Whooo loves you. I used the whooo loves you word stamp to create the background using sorbet, creme brulee, juniper & tulip inks (time consuming :-)). The owls were stamped on bamboo CS using Desert sand ink, and their tummies were cut out after being stamped in Juniper & sorbet. I then used a little crystal snow glitter on the spots on the bellies. The tree branch was stamped in chocolate & then embossed with deep impression clear embossing powder. The mushroom was stamped in juniper & then glittered. The owl with the sorbet belly is pop-dotted. I used liquid glass to make there eyes stand out. The bamboo cardstock used as the bottom layer on the card is dry embossed around the edges, & distressed with chocolate ink. Whoo - that was a lot!
The layout is made using olive, a salmony colored cardstock I got at Hobby Lobby, bamboo & white. I stamped the background paper with the CTMH argyle stampset. Ink colors used: CTMH juniper, desert sand, bamboo & sorbet. Embellies used: brads for the eyes of the large owl, embossing powder, & glitter.
Another snowy day here. And soooo cold - I think it's a whole 1 degree here right now. Good day to sit & scrap! But the girls have made a mess of the house while I've been down here creating, and now I get to go clean.

Bright christmas layout

My inspiration for this layout was a layout that Tiffany Cheney - a wonderful artist! - posted on the CTMH boards. I loved how she used the shining star stampset with such bright & fun colors! I just used a different layout & some different elements.

And sorry that the pics are so crummy - how do you talented ladies who post 12x12 layouts get them onto your webpages? My scanner won't scan a 12x12 page, and this is the best I could do with my camera.

Materials used: red, yellow, blue & green CS from Hobby Lobby; Stampsets: CTMH boutique alphabet, CTMH shining star, CTMH december word puzzle, CTMH weathered backgrounds, CTMH spot on backgrounds; Inks: CTMH cranberry, sunflower, crystal blue, desert sand, versamark; extras: detail clear embossing powder, staples.

This was such a fun layout to do. The layout I used is copyright of CTMH: Designer's Eye from Cherish.

You're a Star

No school here today - snow day! We got about 4 inches of snow last night. Riley was pretty excited about that. It was supposed to blow today, but I think we've lucked out and it's stayed pretty calm - just pretty darn cold.
I created this card this morning. Colors used: buttercup & chocolate CS from CTMH. Green & blue CS from hobby lobby. Stampsets used: CTMH shining star, CTMH Circle Around. Inks used: CTMH chocolate, CTMH sweet leaf, CTMH olive, CTMH crystal blue, CTMH heavenly blue, CTMH buttercup, CTMH sunflower, & versamark watermarking ink. Distressed & sanded yellow cardstock at 1/2 intervals. Three of the stars are pop-dotted, and two of them are covered in prismaglitter.

My first post :-)

Wow, I really just created a blog - how crazy! I've been reading blogs for some time now, and admiring lots of great artwork, but hadn't really thought I could create my own! I'm a stay at home mom to 4, soon to be 5, kids. Ages 7 - 1st grade, 5 - preschool, 4-preschool, and 1. Our newest addition is due March 24th. We live in rural Minnesota. My husband is a machinist. Our other family members have 4 legs - 2 dogs, and about 12 cats.
I love scrapbooking, stamping & card making; and am passionate about it. There's just something wonderful about losing yourself in a creation - it's so relaxing & addicting! It's also very rewarding that my kids love to sit & look through the scrapbooks and see all the pictures of themselves & our family, what a great way to remember our memories.
Well, now I just have to figure all this blogging stuff out. Next lesson ... how do I post pictures?????
